Standard Oil Change Procedure

This guide covers the general process for changing engine oil on mini excavators. Specific oil capacities, filter locations, and drain plug sizes vary by model.

Safety Notes

  • • Allow engine to cool before working near hot surfaces
  • • Dispose of used oil properly at a recycling center

General Steps:

Warm up the engine for 5 minutes to thin the oil for better drainage.

Position the machine on level ground and shut off the engine.

Place a drain pan under the oil drain plug.

Remove the drain plug and allow oil to fully drain (10-15 minutes).

Inspect the drain plug washer and replace if worn.

Remove and replace the oil filter.

Reinstall the drain plug with new washer if needed.

7

Add the correct amount of new engine oil per your model specifications.

Start the engine, check for leaks, and verify oil level.
