Swing Gearbox Oil Change

The swing gearbox contains gear oil separate from hydraulic fluid. Regular changes prevent gear wear and ensure smooth rotation.

Tools Required:

Socket or wrench setDrain containerGear oilFunnel

Safety Notes

  • Engage swing brake before service

General Steps:

Locate swing gearbox under turret floor plate.

Position drain container under gearbox drain plug.

3

Remove fill plug first to allow air entry.

Remove drain plug and allow complete drainage.

5

Reinstall drain plug with new washer.

6

Fill with appropriate gear oil (typically 80W-90 or 85W-140).

7

Check level at fill plug - oil should be at bottom of threads.
