General Guide

Flow Restrictor Installation

Flow restrictors limit oil flow to slow down specific functions like swing or arm speed. This improves control for precision work or operator training.

Tools Required:

Safety Notes

  • Too much restriction causes excessive heat
  • Mark restrictors for later identification

General Steps:

1

Identify which function needs slowing - swing is common for training.

2

Restrictors install in the supply or return line of the target function.

3

Select restrictor orifice size based on desired speed reduction.

4

Thread restrictor into existing line or use inline fitting.

5

Adjustable restrictors allow fine-tuning without line removal.

6

Restrictor in supply line slows extension, in return slows retraction.

7

Test function at various throttle settings.

8

Restrictors can be removed later to restore full speed.
