Radiator Removal and Flush

A clean radiator is essential for engine temperature control. Debris, corrosion, and scale reduce cooling efficiency.

Tools Required:

Drain containerSocket setGarden hoseNew coolant

Safety Notes

  • Never open cooling system when hot
  • Dispose of coolant properly

General Steps:

Allow engine to cool completely.

Drain coolant from radiator drain valve.

Disconnect upper and lower radiator hoses.

Disconnect oil cooler lines if routed through radiator.

Remove radiator mounting hardware.

Carefully remove radiator.

Flush radiator with clean water or radiator flush.

Inspect fins for damage and clean debris.

9

Reinstall and refill cooling system.
