Fuel Filter Replacement
Clean fuel is critical for diesel injection systems. Replace filter at recommended intervals or when flow is restricted.
Tools Required:
Filter wrenchDrain containerShop ragsBleeding wrenches
Safety Notes
- • No smoking when working with fuel
- • Clean up any spilled fuel immediately
General Steps:

Locate fuel filter - typically near fuel tank or on engine.

Place container under filter to catch fuel.
3
Close fuel shutoff valve if equipped.
4
Remove old filter element or cartridge.
5
Install new filter with new gaskets/O-rings.
6
Open fuel valve and bleed air from system.
7
Start engine and check for leaks.
